Louise Shirley, Leadership Programs Manager

Louise brings a blend of international experience and local dedication to her role at the Bend Chamber/BendNEXT. Originally from the UK, she traveled the world as a field biologist. Having studied ecology and environmental science, she is fascinated by systems, and believes a diverse, connected community is a thriving one.

Having previously served as Associate Director of the High Desert Food & Farm Alliance and Curator of Natural History for the High Desert Museum, Louise has called Central Oregon home since 2013. She has experience in program development, fundraising, and facilitation. Louise is excited to channel her passion and expertise to further the prosperity of Bend’s businesses, economy, and community.

In her free time, she loves to read and embraces any kind of outdoor adventure, whether lake swimming, horseback riding, or trail running with her three beloved dogs.
