Get ready to toss some bags and celebrate for a cause! MountainStar Family Relief Nursery is excited to introduce the Shamrock Showdown, a brand-new St. Patrick’s Day-themed cornhole tournament and family-friendly activities happening on Saturday, March 15th from 12-4pm at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
This exciting new event will bring the community together for a day of friendly competition, great food and drinks, and activities for all ages—all while supporting MountainStar’s mission to prevent child abuse and neglect in Central Oregon. “We are so excited to bring Shamrock Showdown to Madras,” said Staley Micken, Development Director at MountainStar. “It’s going to be a fun and new way to engage the community while raising awareness and support for local children and families. We are thrilled to partner with Bart Platt and the Fairgrounds for this new event.”

MountainStar has been serving Central Oregon for over two decades, providing therapeutic early childhood programs, crisis intervention, and essential resources to families facing high levels of stress. As the organization starts a much-needed renovation project at the Madras site, events like Shamrock Showdown ensure continued support for these crucial services.
