We are excited to invite you to our Empowering Families Luncheon, an inspiring gathering to connect, celebrate, and support our Latine community. Join us for a delicious lunch and learn about the transformative work of the Latino Community Association, with a special focus on our expanded Immigration & Advocacy program.

Appetizer 
ESQUITES – off-the-cob version of an Elote or Mexican street corn. The Delicious warm sautéed corn mixed with mayonnaise, lime, juice, chili powder and cotija cheese. Garnished with hot sauce, chopped cilantro and diced jalapeños.

Main Course 
CARNE EN SU JUGO – a Guadalajara favorite. Small pieces of flank steak cooked in their juices, then mixed with whole beans and crispy crumbled bacon. Served with corn tortillas.
VEGAN BIRRIA – a fresh vegetable stew simmered in a sauce of dried chiles, spices, roasted tomatoes and served with white rice.

Dessert
POLVORONES – a soft and crumbly type of cookie that breaks easily in your mouth with its combination of powdered sugar and a sweet, buttery flavor. Also known as Mexican wedding cookies.

This event also marks the launch of our year-end fundraising campaign “United for Justice/Unides por la Justicia”, with a goal of $50,000 to support our programs and make a lasting impact for families across Central Oregon. Your presence and support will help us reach this goal!
