Columbia Bank Hires Jason Nunez-Mooney, Bolstering Commercial Lending in Central Oregon

Columbia Bank, the wholly owned subsidiary of Columbia Banking System, Inc. (NASDAQ: COLB) (“Columbia”), today announced it hired Jason Nunez-Mooney as a vice president and commercial lending officer serving the Central Oregon region.

He has nearly 13 years of banking experience, including 10 years in commercial banking. In his current role, Mooney is responsible for providing a variety of commercial loans as well as generating and managing a portfolio of business and corresponding relationships.

 “Jason brings a wealth of experience to Columbia that will benefit existing and new customers,” said Chris DuPont, Columbia vice president and commercial banking team leader in Bend. “We’re thrilled to have him aboard.”

Earlier in his career, Mooney worked at Bank of the Cascades and, through acquisition, First Interstate Bank, holding positions of progressive responsibility as a commercial banker. He has extensive expertise in medical and real estate lending as well as a background in Treasury Management.

Mooney earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Eastern Oregon University.

He also is active in his community. Among many pursuits, Mooney currently is on the board of Kids Center and serves as both Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair. He also has volunteered for the Latino Partnership Program, the Redmond Education Foundation and the Boys & Girls Club.
