Amanda Windlinx, BendNEXT Programs Coordinator

Born and raised in Bend, Amanda Windlinx was excited to join Team Bend Chamber as the BendNEXT Programs Coordinator after being involved in its programs and events since 2018. Amanda has always found herself drawn to work that develops and gives back to the community to help keep it a wonderful place to live for current and future residents and generations.

She has a background in banking, having worked at First Interstate Bank for five and a half years, during which time her love of community work and volunteerism was fostered.

At First Interstate Bank, employees were asked to volunteer at least 15 hours annually, and Amanda volunteered 236 hours! She also served as the Market Volunteer Coordinator, helping organize, encourage, and track First Interstate volunteers for opportunities across the community. First Interstate Bank empowered her attendance and involvement in Bend Chamber events and programs, enabling and supporting her participation in events and volunteering for the Chamber and Young Professionals/Emerging Talent programs.

After over half a decade of service to the bank, Amanda wanted to further her career with a focus on growing in community leadership. She left to enroll full-time at Central Oregon Community College for Business Administration and attend the Bend Chamber’s Leadership Bend and NEXTUp Leaders programs. Additionally, she helped lead and develop a nonprofit, Connect Central Oregon, helping the organization grow, fundraise, and run successful events. She is involved in City Club, is a Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters Central Oregon, loves helping at every stage of event production for local events and fundraisers, and volunteers for anything she can.

Outside of her work in the community, she is an avid traveler and an aspiring world traveler. She has been to most corners of the U.S. but has only recently left the country for the first time for a solo visit to London and Paris in the spring of 2024. She is continually working to plan her next trip to anywhere she can get to. If you see her around, be sure to give her your best travel tips and top destinations!
