COVID-19, A Message From Bend Chamber CEO

COVID-19, A Message From Bend Chamber CEO

Published on Mar 18, 2020

To our Chamber members,

Resilience is gained through working together, planning ahead and doing business differently. We are here to help us all get beyond the COVID-19 virus healthy and stronger.

Our best asset as Bend’s business community has been how we take care of one another. It’s the key to our success in good times, and an absolute necessity in bad times.

Our sincere thanks to all of our members and the greater Bend business community for offering assistance and sharing information and resources. Your Bend Chamber team is here to help as we face the changes that seem to be happening daily as COVID-19 impacts us all.

We are ready to serve the needs of Bend businesses and our community as we face this challenge, and here’s what we’re doing:

  • Our team is still hard at work, whether it is in the office or remotely – providing services, information and working on our key initiatives for business
  • We will use video or conference calls to conduct meetings and business with our partners and members
  • While our events are on hold, we will pursue virtual avenues to connect those in our Bend YP, Leadership Bend and other programs
  • Legislation
  • We are actively gathering data on the adverse of the COVID-19 actions on you and your employees to share with elected officials and decision makers as we advocate for the speedy dissemination of relief funds.  This data will help drive resources more quickly to Central Oregon, and to you.  Please take just a few minutes to share your experiences and needs here:  Employer Survey  and Employee Survey.  It will make a difference.
  • NEW – We will launch a website to provide a hub where collective information from community, local, state and federal sources are available on how your business and employees can access financial assistance and find information and resources. Please watch for the CentralOregonSOS website launch early next week.

Resilience is gained through working together, planning ahead and doing business differently. We are here to help us all get beyond the COVID-19 virus healthy and stronger.

Yours in a healthy future #inthistogetherBend
