Patrick O’Keefe

Patrick O’Keefe started his health insurance business in Bend in 1992. Cascade Insurance Center has twelve employees in downtown Bend and offers all lines of individual and group health coverage. The agency also offers home, auto, life and commercial coverage.

Patrick has maintained extensive industry involvement throughout the years. He is currently on advisory committees for Pacific Source Health Plans and Moda Health Plan, and has also been on advisory committees Clear Choice, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon, Lifewise Health Plan of Oregon, and Health Republic. He was also on the Board of Directors of HealthMatters of Central Oregon.

He is a past-president of the Central Oregon Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and was named the Health Insurance Agent of the Year by the Oregon Life Underwriter’s Association. He is also a past-president of the local chapter of the National Association of Health Underwriters.

In 2012 Patrick was appointed by Governor Kitzhaber to the Essential Health Benefits Workgroup. This workgroup’s job was to recommend to the Governor the baseline benefits that would need to be included in health plans in Oregon beginning in 2014.

Patrick currently serves on the Division of Financial Regulation Insurance Advisory Committee for the State of Oregon and is the legislative chair for the Oregon Division of the Professional Insurance Agents Western Alliance.

Along with his involvement within his profession Patrick is also an active Rotarian and is past president of the Rotary Club of Bend. He has been married to his wife Vicki for thirty-nine years and together they have two adult daughters and three grandchildren.
