Leadership Redmond Fundraising Drive for Eberhard Memorial Passes First Goal

The Leadership Redmond Class of 2018 has surpassed its first fundraising goal for a life-size bronze statue of Bob Eberhard. The class just reached the $10,000 mark and still needs to collect another $40,000 in donations.

“Bob Eberhard did so much for the local community and we want to thank everyone who has donated so far,” says Diana Barker, Eberhard Memorial Fund committee member. “This statue will serve as a reminder for everyone who was touched by Bob and his generous spirit.”

Long-time dairy owner and entrepreneur, Bob is remembered by many in the Central Oregon as a community advocate, a voice of wisdom, and an overall straight shooter.

The Leadership Redmond class has commissioned artist, James Haire, to create the memorial of Bob that will be featured in Redmond. The same artist completed a sculpture in memory of Kaye Eberhard who passed in March 2016. The Kaye Eberhard sculpture currently resides at Redmond City Hall.

Leadership Redmond is a 501c3 nonprofit. Donations for the Eberhard Memorial can be sent to:
