The economy is moving full-speed ahead, but did we forget to pull in the anchor?
After experiencing a once in a century economic shock last spring the economy is already beginning to mend. Temporary layoffs are being called back, businesses reopening, and consumer confidence remains high. Despite this
improvement the public health crisis remains and so too will the recession until the pandemic is fully under control. The large number of temporary jobs being called back is concealing the steady increase in permanent layoffs and business closures.
Damon will take a look at the nature of the economic shock then dig deep into our current recovery. Where do we continue to see impacts? Who is being impacted? And, where are we heading?
