First Annual 2022 Gala to Benefit the Central Oregon Veterans Ranch

First Annual 2022 Gala to Benefit the Central Oregon Veterans Ranch

PublIshed on Jun 14, 2022

Dear Veteran Supporter,

Seven years ago, I started a nonprofit organization called Central Oregon Veterans Ranch. During the past seven years I have watched a 19-acre piece of property turn into a sanctuary of support for local and regional veterans. Through agriculture, peer support, and most importantly community, veterans are finding a new sense of purpose, meaning, and sustained support post-military.

I am writing you today to tell you about an amazing opportunity that has materialized for COVR in the past few weeks. As the result of an introduction between a longtime Oregon National Guard colleague and Hollywood film producer Suzanne DeLaurentis, COVR is in the planning stages of producing a documentary with Suzanne’s company, DeLaurentiis Productions, LLC. This twenty-minute film or “docudrama” will be launched on the national documentary film fest circuit and marketed to sales outlets. COVR will maintain the rights and all proceeds from the film in perpetuity.

The total cost of the film production is estimated between 200-250K. COVR will contribute 60K in order to support completion of the project, with the remainder being generously donated by DeLaurentiis Productions. The COVR Board of Directors and I are seeking sponsorships and support to complete this film.

A 10K sponsorship will have you or your business or club’s name listed on a frame in the film.

Your sponsorship or contribution will be a force multiplier and benefit COVR/veterans in the following ways:

  • Through COVR’s collaboration with Suzanne DeLaurentiis/DeLaurentiis Productions “the Ranch” will gain access and exposure to a game changing network in Hollywood.
  • The documentary film will put COVR on the national stage and support our goal of being a national leader in the conversation on veterans and post-traumatic growth.
  • This national exposure will support COVR’s goal to scale to other communities and states, with veterans currently eager to start veterans’ ranches in WA state and Tennessee.
  • The film will serve as an educational and therapeutic tool to bring awareness to the general public about veterans, trauma, and the innovative, unique approach and success of the COVR model. It has the potential to capture the attention of thousands of veterans and help them learn about and advocate for alternatives to the medical model for healing and recovery from war.

Please help us achieve our goal and support this amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity!

Respectfully,
