More Than Just Ugly Sweaters and Outlandish Christmas Suits

The Bend Chamber Holiday Party is coming up on December 7 and a perennial competition at the party is the Ugliest Sweater Contest, judged by those uber-festive guys from Webfoot Painting. If you haven’t been to the Holiday Party, you really need to come and see these guys!

Project Serious donates time and materials worth up to $15,000 to help a chosen non-profit organization fix up their facilities.

All is not necessarily as it appears, though, on the surface with the fellas from Webfoot. Yes, they really get into the over-the-top outfits to celebrate the joyous season, but, they actually live the “good will to your fellow man” mantra in the form of Project Serious. The name is a play off of their tagline, “Seriously Great Painters,” and it’s perfect for what the project does. For eight consecutive years, Project Serious donates time and materials worth up to $15,000 to help a chosen non-profit organization fix up their facilities. For a non-profit (and any for-profit business, really), that’s a generous in-kind donation and a big deal. Coincidentally, as the Holiday Party is held at the High Desert Museum, the museum was the winner of the Project Serious in-kind donation last year, so come to the party and see the painting and carpentry work done by the folks at Webfoot.

This year, there is a new twist to the selection process of the top three entries for Project Serious where Webfoot customers and community members can weigh in via Facebook and Instagram to vote for their preferred non-profit project. In addition to moving through to the final company vote, the entrant voted number one on social media will receive an additional company vote, which could be the tie-breaker!

So, get your tickets to the 2017 Chamber Holiday Party, don your ugliest holiday sweater and say hello to Travis and Gavin and the rest of the crew from Webfoot Painting – their outfits are sure to not disappoint!
