Bend Chamber Economic Forecast Breakfast

If nothing else, this election season will be memorable. But what impact do politics and policy-making have on our economy and the business cycle? During the Bend Chamber’s Economic Forecast Breakfast on Oct. 20 at the Riverhouse on the Deschutes, you will be equipped for the impending changes ahead for our national, state and local economy.

Locally, the Bend Metropolitan Statistical Area economy is soaring high and economic forecasters continue to predict that 2017 will actually be better than 2016. Here in our state, the brewing civil war between government and businesses will be decided with Measure 97 – the largest proposed tax increase in Oregon’s history.  On the international level, economic growth is anemic across the globe.

Panelists Roger Lee, executive director of Economic Development for Central Oregon, will speak on the local economic successes and challenges facing our community. Panelist Tim Duy will dive into state issues, and panelist Mark Kralj will share his global perspective, so you can make strategic shifts based on the trends and projected impacts.

At the Bend Chamber’s Economic Forecast Breakfast, you’ll walk away with key insights into what the future holds so you can tailor your operations or business planning for the upcoming year, said Bend Chamber EVP Programs & Events Robin Rogers.

“We are excited to share the foresight from our amazing panel of experts with our members and the community,” Rogers said. “More than 300 attendees are registered and seats are filling up fast!”
