Deschutes Children’s Foundation is partnering with Webfoot Painting on social media

Managing four community campuses, Deschutes Children’s Foundation is no stranger to ongoing facility upkeep and repair. The local nonprofit works with vendors and volunteers in the community to ensure that their buildings are maintained in good working order without disrupting their 26 nonprofit partners’ daily schedules and programs. Their largest and most used facility, East Bend Campus on NE Daggett Road, needs to have the trim repainted. The perfect balance of cost savings and quality work is always a challenge, but the organization has found a clever way to reduce the cost of this job.

Deschutes Children’s Foundation is partnering with Bend-based Webfoot Painting on social media. For every new page like the local painting company receives on Facebook, one dollar will be deducted from the organization’s final estimated bill of $2,200. Deschutes Children’s Foundation is fortunate to have partnered with Webfoot on several projects in the past including the repainting of Rosie Bareis Community Campus in 2011 as their charity giveaway project. In 2013, Webfoot Painting and Deschutes Children’s Foundation teamed with youth from Heart of Oregon Corps to repaint the Becky Johnson Community Center in Redmond.

“Working with Webfoot Painting is always a pleasure,” said Deschutes Children’s Foundation Executive Director Kim McNamer. “Beyond their quality and professionalism, they are very community minded. Webfoot has been so generous to our community, we are happy to have an opportunity to promote and support them in return.”

The Facebook promotion runs through Sept. 16. In this case, it’s easy to help a local charity save a buck – just find Webfoot Painting on Facebook and like their page. “We hope folks will like Deschutes Children’s Foundation’s page, too,” said McNamer with a smile.
