American Red Cross to honor exceptional humanitarian

The American Red Cross will posthumously honor USAF Col. (Ret.) David Fairclo with a Public Service/Veteran’s Affairs Hero’s award for a lifetime of humanitarian work on Saturday, March 12, from 3-4 p.m. at the Elk’s Club in Bend, located at 63120 Boyd Acres Rd. The award ceremony is open to the public.

David Fairclo was a lifelong humanitarian. He was a member of numerous boards and organizations, including Partners in Care and St. Charles Hospital. Fairclo worked tirelessly for his fellow veterans.

Fairclo, 67, passed away March 5, 2015, in Bend.  He was buried with full military honors as befitted such an outstanding veteran.  Please join us as we honor a special man for a lifetime of humanitarian achievements.
