Backed by two public safety organizations and retired Deschutes County Sheriff Les Stiles, Rep. Knute Buehler promises to continue working with the local law enforcement community on public policy issues during his second term as state representative of Bend.
The Buehler for a United Oregon campaign announced today endorsements from the Oregon Association Chiefs of Police and the Oregon State Sheriffs’ Association.
“I’m honored to have earned the support of our public safety community,” said Rep. Buehler. “While I know a lot about health care, I’m not a criminal justice policy expert. As state representative, I’ll continue working with my local law enforcement officials, police chief, district attorney and sheriff for direction on policy questions affecting public safety.”
Natural resource organizations that represent tens of thousands Oregonians have also endorsed Rep. Knute Buehler for state representative of Bend. The Buehler for a United Oregon campaign announced today the support of Ag-PAC, Oregon Association of Nurseries, Oregon Cattlemen’s Association, and Oregon Farm Bureau. Together, the organizations represent more than 60,000 members across the state.
“I grew up in rural Oregon, so I understand the unique challenges faced by parts of the state outside the metro areas,” said Rep. Buehler. “I’m proud to have earned endorsements from our natural resource community, and I’ll continue working across the aisle to advance policies that preserve and improve their quality of life.”
