Citizen of the Year:
This award is for someone with great integrity who has continuously demonstrated a leadership role in one or several community organizations and has shown a commitment to serve the well-being of others. The contributions of this individual should have little or no relationship to the recipient’s business or professional well-being. This person does not have to own a business or be a member of the Bend Chamber. The recipient of this award may have made a series of unrelated, but significant selfless contributions to the community or has made a sustained flow of contributions to the community through a single interest area. Most importantly, the contributions made by this individual must create a long-lasting benefit to the community. Individuals who qualify for this award may be associated with, but are not limited to: churches, service clubs, volunteer or charitable organizations and community activities.
