The Central Oregon Association of Realtors (COAR) named Fred Baldwin of Century 21 Gold Country Realty the 2015 Realtors of the Year (ROTY) at the annual EnCOAR award reception held at the Bend Golf and Country Club June 4. In addition to the ROTY award, COAR also presented a Rookie of the Year Award and three Affiliate of the Year Awards.
The ROTY award is selected by a committee of members and is designed to give recognition to Realtors who have served not only their profession, but also their communities. The award has been given since 1974.
Criteria for the award includes:

- Civic Activity
- Business Accomplishments
- Local, National and State Association/Board Activity
Baldwin was selected for his dedication to the real estate industry, his fellow realtors and the Central Oregon community. He has served on the Multiple Listing Service of Central Oregon Board, been a member of the Commercial Investment Division and the Redmond Commercial Group. Additionally, Baldwin is very involved with the Central Oregon Builders Association, the Redmond Chamber of Commerce, the Oregon Hunters Association and the Elks Lodge.
COAR also presented Kimberly Gorayeb of Metolius Property Sales the Rookie of the Year award. Since being licensed in 2012, Gorayeb has joined the COAR board as a local director for Sisters and participated in the National Association of Realtors Leadership Program. Additionally, she serves on the Circle of Friends board and is active in the Sisters School District.
Concluding the awards was the presentation of three Affiliate Members of the Year to Teresa and Ward Palmer of WIN Home Inspections, Kevin Pangle of Evergreen Home Loans and Mark Worthington of Director’s Mortgage. The affiliates have all gone above and beyond to promote the value of Realtors, shown dedication to the community and support for COAR.
