Bend City Council seeks feedback on proposed climate policy

Dear Bend business owner,

Have you been tracking the discussions involving a climate action policy for the City of Bend? What started in May with the introduction of a proposed ordinance has been a hot topic ever since. Numerous groups and organizations (including the Bend Economic Development Advisory Board) have communicated their perspectives to a Council Subcommittee working on the draft. Here’s your chance to have a say: City councilors have specifically asked to hear from individual businesses on what they think of the draft Climate Action Resolution.

As a Bend Business Registration holder, do you have thoughts or feedback on the resolution? Whether it’s positive, negative or ambivalent, you can communicate directly to council by emailing Council@Bendoregon.gov.

Would you rather speak in person? Attend the special public hearing, scheduled for Thursday, July 21, more details are listed below.

What: City Council Special Meeting on Climate Action
