Elected officials and their decisions shape the future of our community. Beginning Sept. 6, the Bend Chamber presents a special series of moderated forums and debates held at the Deschutes Brewery Tap Room to help educate you on who’s running for positions within city council, county commission and the sheriff’s office.
This What’s Brewing Election Series – moderated by Jamie Christman, Bend Chamber executive vice president of community affairs; Aaron Switzer, The Source Weekly publisher; and Kelly Bleyer, NewsTalk 1110 KBND news director – is a unique opportunity to learn about the competing candidates and their positions on local issues that impact us all.
The series will wrap up with an election mixer, an informal opportunity to get acquainted with current elected officials and those vying on the slate in the November election. Get face to face with local, regional and state decision makers who will carry us into the future.
