The What’s Brewing: Election Series kicked off September 6th hosting four candidates for three positions on Bend’s City Council, one of which is unopposed, in its first in a series of five election-related events planned for September and October by the Bend Chamber. Candidates included incumbent Sally Russell and challenger Wade Fagen (Pos. 3), Justin Livingston and Ron “Rondo” Boozell (Pos. 1; Rondo absent), and former mayor, Bruce Abernethy (Pos. 4 unopposed).

City Council Candidate Debate II:
Incumbent Doug Knight and challenger Bill Moseley took the debate head-on for Bend’s Position 2 for City Council in the second What’s Brewing: Election Series – City Council Candidate Debate II held September 19th at the Deschutes Brewery Tap Room downtown. Coming up October 4th is the next debate in the What’s Brewing: Election Series – Sheriff Debate for the Office of Deschutes County Sheriff with incumbent Shane Nelson and challenger Eric Kozowski.
