Volunteers in Medicine seeks Spanish-speaking volunteers

Volunteers in Medicine Clinic of the Cascades (VIM) is looking for Spanish-speaking volunteers who are interested in donating their time in its Bend clinic. Volunteer opportunities include working as a clinical interpreter, front desk scheduler or as an eligibility screener.

VIM provides healthcare at no cost to low-income uninsured adults who live and work in the tri-county area. Gain valuable work experience while volunteering in a medical setting, even if you have no medical expertise. Clinic hours are offered at varying times Monday through Friday, with the average volunteer working a 4-5 hour shift each week.

To volunteer, you must be at least 18 years old, speak English and Spanish, know how to use a computer and be willing to make an ongoing regular commitment to volunteer.

Join VIM at an upcoming volunteer orientation this September:

Sept.14, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Sept. 22, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Sept.30, 10 – 11:30 a.m.

To sign up, or for more information, please contact Kristi Jacobs, Volunteer Manager, at 541-585-9008 or Kristi.Jacobs@vim-cascades.org.
