The stars will shine brightly inside the Tower this July

The Tower Theatre Foundation is turning up the tunes this July. On Saturday, July 16 at 8 p.m., David Benoit, one of the founding fathers of contemporary jazz, returns to the Tower, this time accompanied by bass and drums. The David Benoit Trio will present an evening of multi-dimensional arrangements with notable influence from Stephen Sondheim, Burt Bacharach, Dave Grusin, Leonard Bernstein, and of course, a nod to “Peanuts” composer Vince Guaraldi.

Then on July 22at 8 p.m., prepare for a high energy, rhythmically-charged evening of acoustic, rock and world music performed by Rusted Root. After performing at 4Peaks Music Festival last summer, the band returns to Bend to showcase their shape shifting musical freedom and virtuosity. In addition to songs off of their new album, The Movement, get ready to dance to hits like “Martyr,” “Send Me On My Way,” and “Ecstasy”, to name a few!

These performances are presented by the Tower Theatre Foundation. Tickets are on sale now. Membership, program information and individual and group tickets are available at the box office (835 NW Wall), by phone (541-317-0700) or online ( Details on events are also at
