OSU-Cascades’ contractor, Fortis Construction continues to make significant progress toward completing the academic building on the new campus in Bend.
Over the past two weeks the final underground utilities have been installed, including ductbanks for future network infrastructure, electrical conduits, natural gas lines, and conduit for site lighting and security. The concrete walls on the academic building have topped out, reaching the level of the roof of the building.
In the next two weeks curb will be installed throughout the parking lot in preparation for paving, the sidewalk along Chandler Avenue will be reconstructed, and crews will be mobilized to start foundations on the residence hall, which will be located along Century Drive. There will be a temporary increase in truck traffic bringing gravel to the site to prepare the parking lot for paving.
