Pahlisch Homes to give $25,000 to The Center Foundation

Pahlisch Homes has made a $25,000 donation commitment to The Center Foundation, which places certified athletic trainers in the Bend, La Pine, Sisters and Prineville high schools, and provides outreach to rural and private high schools.

Pahlisch Homes’ gift will support the sports medicine program at each school and make strides toward expanding service to middle schools.

“As a Northwest-based homebuilder, Pahlisch Homes is committed to improving the quality of life in the communities where we build,” stated Founder Dennis Pahlisch. “Like The Center Foundation, we wholeheartedly believe that athletic trainers, on-site, save lives. We hope our support makes a difference.”

Since it was established in 1983, Pahlisch Homes has invested in the health and sustenance of its neighborhoods by donating to agencies that directly impact children and families in the area. Pahlisch Homes has built more than 30 new-home communities in Oregon, Washington and Arizona, including McCall Landing, Stonegate, Parkland, Ochocho Pointe, River’s Edge, The Bridges and Triple Ridge in Central Oregon.

“Because of the generosity of community partners like Pahlisch Homes, our athletic trainers are at the schools every day, providing on-site medical services to more than 3,000 high school athletes annually,” said Sonja Donohue, executive director of The Center Foundation. “They see kids in the training rooms, prepare them for competition, help rehab their injuries and provide concussion identification and management for a safe return to play.”

In addition to prevention, emergency care, rehabilitation and management of sports-related injuries performed by athletic trainers at no cost to parents or schools, physicians from The Center support this work through financial backing and by donating their time on the sidelines of events.
