Christine Schroeder-Fain was presented with the National Operation School Bell Award at the Assistance League of Bend annual meeting.
The award was given by the National Board in recognition of Schroeder-Fain’s ongoing support of Assistance League of Bend, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization committed to making positive changes and helping vulnerable children and adults within the community.
The award is intended to honor those who, through significant financial, in-kind or service support, have a direct, powerful and positive effect on Operation School Bell in a chapter’s community.
Schroeder-Fain has served on the Advisory Council for Assistance League of Bend, helped with fundraising campaigns and has been a true advocate for Operation School Bell in leading the charge to provide school clothes for children in need.
“Christine is a great spokesperson, and the chapter is most appreciative of her active promotion of our programs,” said Nancy Reberger, national president for Assistance League. “Her compassion for the children and her passion for Operation School Bell and Assistance League are evident”.
