The KIDS Center has been awarded $28,912.51 from the 5th annual St. Patrick’s Day Dash put on by the Mt. Bachelor Rotary Club of Bend.
“Rotarians helped start KIDS Center 20 years ago and continue to play a vital role in KIDS Center’s ability to help children and families in our community who are dealing with abuse,” said Shelly Smith, M.S., executive director of KIDS Center. “We are so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Mt. Bachelor Rotary’s St. Patrick’s Day Dash this year and for the generosity displayed by Rotarians, sponsors and participants alike. Funds raised by this event will help KIDS Center expand our services to support parents as they guide their child through the healing process to overcome abuse. “
KIDS Center, Central Oregon’s only child abuse intervention center, provides medical evaluations, forensic interviews, family support and therapy in a child-friendly environment helping children and their families overcome the devastating impact of child abuse.
