“Into the Woods”, a modern twist on the Brothers Grimm fairy tales in a musical format, will be performed at the Pinckney Center for the Performing Arts on the Central Oregon Community College campus next month.
Performances are scheduled to take place June 5 and June 6 at 7 p.m. and June 7 at 3 p.m.
“The show covers multiple themes: growing up, parents and children, accepting responsibility, morality, and finally, wish fulfillment and its consequences,” according to the news release.” The Time Magazine reviewers wrote that the play’s ‘basic insight … is at heart, most fairy tales are about the loving yet embattled relationship between parents and children. Almost everything that goes wrong — which is to say, almost everything that can — arises from a failure of parental or filial duty, despite the best intentions.’”
Ticket prices $25- $40 with a $5 discount for students and seniors. All seats are reserved.
