The Bend Chamber Political Action Committee (PAC) is proud to announce its endorsements for the 2016 Bend City Council.
The Bend Chamber PAC is endorsing the following candidates:
Position 1: Justin Livingston, partner in Genesis Construction Group, LLC
Position 2: Bill Moseley, founder and CEO of Bend-based software company GL Solutions
According to the PAC, Livingston has an excellent track record working on Bend’s big issues on the Affordable Housing Committee and the Street Maintenance Funding Committee. Moseley started one of Bend’s economic success stories in software company GL Solutions, and understands how to create an environment that encourages business and employment growth.
The Bend Chamber PAC is a separate function of the Bend Chamber operated by a seven-member committee. No Bend Chamber membership funds support this PAC, as the Bend Chamber PAC establishes its own funding through direct donations.
The mission of the PAC is to support a business-friendly economic climate at the city council level. The goal is to identify candidates who are business savvy and provide them with both resources and support to promote business success in Bend. In this election cycle, the Bend Chamber PAC has raised more than $50,000.
“We’re trying to make a difference in how city council functions by selecting candidates with a vision and values for our community that align with the Bend Chamber PAC,” said Bend Chamber PAC Chairman Troy Reinhart. “This election is just the beginning. The Bend Chamber PAC is going to be actively engaged even after the election cycle concludes.”
The Bend chamber PAC is still accepting contributions. By supporting the PAC’s efforts, you can make a difference in electing local officials who understand and champion the vital role the business community plays in the economic health of Bend.
